Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026 · Konyx Industrial Intelligence
The rules for using Konyx, in plain words: a person stays in charge of every send, your company's data stays your company's, and what AI drafts is checked before it goes out.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between Konyx Industrial Intelligence (“Konyx”, “we”) and the company that uses Konyx (“your company”), and they apply to every person who signs in under that company (“you”). They cover the company app, the link vendors use to quote, and this website.
If your company has signed an order form, pilot agreement or master agreement with Konyx, that signed agreement comes first wherever it says something different from these terms.
You agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy when you tick the box at sign-in or when you activate your account. If you are agreeing on behalf of your company, you confirm you are allowed to.
2. Accounts
Accounts are created by your company's owner or administrator, who decides what each person may do through roles and permissions. Use your own account, keep your password to yourself, and tell your administrator or us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Your company is responsible for what happens under its accounts, and for removing people who should no longer have access.
3. What Konyx does, and what stays with you
Konyx turns a request into a structured draft, suggests vendors, prepares requests for quotation (RFQs), collects and compares quotes, and prepares purchase orders. Parts of this use AI models and searches of the public web.
- A person decides. Konyx never sends an RFQ or a purchase order until someone with permission has reviewed it and pressed Send. Check what Konyx drafted — part numbers, quantities, vendors and addresses — before you send it. AI can be wrong.
- Your purchases are yours. Konyx is not a party to any purchase. Prices, lead times, delivery and the goods themselves are between your company and the vendor.
- Suggestions are suggestions. Vendor rankings, prices from history or catalogs, vendors found on the web and figures such as time saved are there to help a person decide. They are estimates, not promises.
4. Acceptable use
Use Konyx for your company's genuine purchasing. In particular, do not:
- send RFQs or other messages that are not real requests for quotation, or send to people who are not vendors you have a reason to contact;
- break any law that applies to your messages or your purchasing, including anti-spam, export-control and sanctions laws;
- upload anything unlawful, or content you have no right to share;
- try to reach another company's data, get around permissions or limits, probe or overload the service, or copy, scrape or reverse-engineer it;
- resell or give access to Konyx outside your company without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account or a company that breaks these rules, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
5. Your data
Everything your company puts into Konyx — requests, photos, voice notes, spreadsheets, vendor lists, prices, quotes and purchase orders — belongs to your company. You give Konyx permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, keep it secure, and support you.
Each company's data is kept separate from every other company's. Your own vendor list, prices, quotes, requests and purchase orders are never shown to another company.
Public information about vendors that Konyx finds on the open web — a business's name, website, published contact details and published catalog — is kept on the platform and may be suggested to other companies looking for the same parts. So may vendors in the Konyx network, which Konyx maintains itself.
We may use counts and measures of how the service is used (for example how many RFQs are sent, how long they take, how often vendors reply), without your content, to run and improve Konyx.
How personal information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.
6. Vendors who quote
Vendors answer an RFQ through a private link, without an account. By submitting a quote, a vendor agrees that it is shared with the company that asked for it and kept with that company's records. A vendor's quote is never shown to any other company or vendor.
7. Fees
Fees, if any, and the length of a pilot are set out in your company's order form or pilot agreement. Without one, there is nothing to pay.
8. Confidentiality
Each side keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for the purpose it was shared. This does not cover information that is already public, that the other side already had, or that has to be disclosed by law — in which case, where allowed, the other side is told first.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Konyx available and secure, and we improve it continually, which means features may change. We will not remove something your company relies on without telling you in reasonable time. Service levels, where agreed, are in your signed agreement.
10. Ending
Your company can stop using Konyx at any time. We can end access for a breach of these terms that is not put right, or as your signed agreement allows.
When a company's account ends, it can ask us for an export of its data first. We then delete the company and everything it holds in Konyx; copies in backups are overwritten as the backups roll over.
11. Disclaimers
Apart from what a signed agreement promises, Konyx is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will be free of errors, that AI output or web results will be accurate or complete, or that any vendor will reply, price or deliver.
12. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from Konyx, and Konyx's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees your company paid Konyx in the twelve months before the claim — or one hundred US dollars if it paid nothing. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them to, such as for fraud.
13. Governing law
If your company has a signed agreement with Konyx, its governing-law and dispute terms apply. Otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of the state in the United States where Konyx Industrial Intelligence has its principal place of business, and both sides agree to that state's courts. Before going to court, we will both try in good faith to settle a disagreement by talking first.
14. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update the date at the top of this page. The next time you sign in to Konyx you are asked to agree to the new version; the version each person agreed to, and when, is recorded.
